Spectrum internet connection is down in many areas of Melbourne, with many of the city’s population experiencing slow internet access.
A map posted on the City of Melbourne website shows the extent of the outage on Monday.
It shows Melbourne has received the second-highest number of power cuts, with the city reporting 688,000 connections.
In Melbourne’s west, more than 10,000 households are experiencing slower internet access, with 5.8 million people being without internet access across the state.
The city also reported more than 5.2 million customers have experienced a power outage.
Power outages caused by the blackout are not uncommon, with more than 50 per cent of Victoria households experiencing internet outages in 2017, according to the state’s Bureau of Meteorology.
